We checked out of Moalboal Backpacker Lodge at 5am and rode a tricycle to Kawasan Falls. We were supposed to ride a bus but the driver misheard our instructions and directly drove us to the falls.
There were local tour guides waiting when we arrived. Our plan was to trek without a guide since the trail to the falls is easy; since we have our bags with us, we gave in. The trek to the falls took a good 15 minutes.
I couldn't contain my awe when we reached the falls. The place is undoubtedly the best natural wonder I've seen so far. The water is clean, gelid, and crystal-blue. We got there early so we had the falls all by ourselves. We got one cottage for Php 500.00 and life vests for Php 50.00 each. We didn't rent a raft anymore.
Truly a paradise on earth! :)

We rented one cottage for Php 500.00.
There are establishments serving food and refreshment nearby but the prices are exorbitant. So just a tip, bring your own food when you visit Kawasan Falls.

The falls on the first level is 40 meters high.
It's a bit tricky to take pictures near the falls because the lens was getting wet resulting to foggy pictures like the ones below.

After the shoot, we took a swim and ate lunch at our cottage. Food always tastes better when eaten after a cold swim and with bare hands. ;)
Buko Juice, Bangus Belly Sinigang, and Chicken Barbecue for lunch
We didn't visit the second level of Kawasan Falls anymore since it's another 15 minute trek and we still had to go back to the city for some last minute photo shoot and shopping.
Buses headed to Cebu City passes by every 20 minutes. Travel time is 2 1/2 hours. We checked in at Robe's Pension House again and prepared for the last shoot.
We visited Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral Church. The bell tower was under construction after being destroyed by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake.
Walking further would lead you to Magellan's Cross and Basilica Minore del Santo Niño which were both under construction when we visited.
Despite the throng of people, Ann and Ernest gamely posed for the camera. It's our last day after all.

The area abounds with religious figurines.
We bought a bouquet of flowers at a nearby stall.

There were woods around Magellan's Cross where construction was ongoing.

After the shoot, we bought pasalubong at Carbon market which is near the Basilica. We were shocked with the price of their danggit. 1 kilo is Php 900.00 so we just bought 1/4. The taxi driver told us that danggit is cheaper in Tabo-an Public Market which is the Danggit Center of Cebu. Due to time-constraint, we weren't able to visit the market anymore. We immediately headed to One Mango for our dinner in Zubuchon.
We were actually disappointed with the boneless Lechon which they are advertising as the best pig in the world. It's very salty. :( The shrimp was also salty. But since we were frazzled and famished, there were no left overs on our plates.
When we returned to the pension house, we did our last photo shoot inside our rooms. With a dash of creativity, we came up with this:

And that caps off our escapade in Cebu. It was a tiring but fun adventure. Cebu, 'til we meet again. :)
